We are pleased to share guidance developed by the Metrowest Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA) in collaboration with the MetroWest Work Center (Casa del Trabajador, or ‘Casa’) to help our immigrant community members navigate this difficult moment.

YOUR BASIC RIGHTS

  • Right to remain silent

  • Carry a Red know your rights Card

  • Right to speak with a legal representative

  • Right to see a warrant

YOUR RIGHTS IF I.C.E. COMES TO YOUR HOME

  • Do not open the door unless ICE has a warrant signed by a judge

  • Do not answer any questions.

  • You have the right to remain silent.

  • Do not sign anything without consulting a legal representative.

“I do not give you permission to enter my home based on my 4th Amendment rights under the United States Constitution unless you have a warrant to enter, signed by a judge or magistrate with my name on it that you slide under the door.”
